"That's really strange, Lin Ah Ping just had a conflict with you guys yesterday and today he disappeared in front of us, I can't explain to our Japanese war department if this kind of thing is not solved and understood!" The chief stroked his hair, he had only thought at first that there would be a vicious brawl.

This was something that happened from time to time for special forces competitions. It wasn't even enough to be concerned about, but now that someone had gone missing, or maybe even been secretly killed, then the whole thing would become troublesome, and might even cause an uproar, and he, the person in charge, would be primarily responsible, and his dismissal would be light, and he might suffer the consequences in serious cases.

"That's something you need to investigate, it has nothing to do with us." Bai Xiaofei said, waving his hand. He could guess what had happened last night, this South Vietnamese special forces soldier had mostly been taken care of by Chen Ge, all he had to do was to ask questions and not cause any trouble for Chen Ge.

"Alright then, you guys just go back and rest, but report back to me in time if there is anything." There was nothing the person in charge could do.

This place had only just been built. There wasn't even any surveillance, so he could only take his time to investigate the matter, and he wasn't prepared to report to the War Department, a South Vietnamese special forces soldier wasn't likely to disappear for no reason, even if he was killed, he would definitely leave traces, and when the time came, as long as the murderer was caught, he would be able to give an explanation to the War Department as well as South Vietnam.

And now without any evidence, he couldn't possibly put the blame on Bai Xiaofei, knowing that right now, the Japanese didn't dare to provoke China casually, and he, the person in charge, was certainly aware of this situation.

"No problem. We'll cooperate." Bai Xiaofei nodded lightly.

Back in the room, Bai Xiaofei closed all the doors and windows, and pulled up the curtains as well.

"Brother Chen, you really took care of that Japanese special forces soldier, huh?" After all this was done, Bai Xiaofei immediately made it to Chen Ge and asked.

He had been inside all last night and had only heard faint sounds coming in from outside. Although he could guess in his mind what Chen Ge had done, he still had some concerns, knowing that this was participating in a special forces competition, and once he revealed anything, he would definitely invite trouble for China, and he, a special forces soldier representing China, would also be left in the lurch.

"Of course." Chen Ge smiled lightly.

"It shouldn't leave any traces, right?" Once he heard this, Bai Xiaofei continued to ask.

"Are you kid doubting my strength?" Chen Ge asked with a smile as he lit up a cigarette.

"Of course not. I'm just worried that they might find out, after all, this is Japanese territory, so if anything goes wrong. I'm afraid that China will need to bear the consequences." Bai Xiaofei shook his head, he was only acting out of a growing amount of responsibility for China, if it were any other day. He wouldn't even ask a single question.

"Don't worry, I've taken care of everything, it won't cause you any trouble." Chen Ge understood Bai Xiaofei's concerns and patted him on the shoulder and said.

"Then I'm relieved!" Only when he heard Chen Ge say this did Bai Xiaofei completely put his heart down.

On the Japanese side, although the person in charge had not reported the situation to the Japanese war department, they were also investigating the matter, they searched all around the training ground, but not only did they not find that South Vietnamese special forces soldier. They had searched all around the training ground, but not only had they failed to find the South Vietnamese special agent, they had not even found a single clue.

In the office, the person in charge was sitting on a chair, standing in front of him. It was a squad of special forces from the War Department that maintained order on the grounds.

"Tell me, what has been investigated?" The chief asked as he scanned them.

"Komura-san, we've been investigating, but nothing has come out, it's like that South Vietnamese Lin Ah Ping disappeared out of thin air. Not a single clue has been left behind!" The leader of the squad replied in a hurry.

"And you guys haven't poked around a single clue?" The chief slapped the table.

"Mr. Komura, could it be that Lin Ah Ping left our Japanese country during the night and went back to South Vietnam?" Another special forces soldier spoke up.

"That's not possible at all. Even if he received an urgent mission and needed to return to South Vietnam, he or the war department in South Vietnam should have notified us, just leaving without a word is not something that the war department can do, and his luggage is still all inside his room, does that mean he went back. Without luggage?" As soon as this was heard, the person in charge immediately waved his hand to deny it.

"Could it be that he was secretly executed by those few people in China? I've heard about what happened in South Vietnam some time ago, when the three great families were exterminated. The former chief, Li Guojun, disappeared strangely, and even the War Department lost quite a few people, and from what I read yesterday from Lin Ah Ping, it seems that those few people from China did it."

                The captain suddenly interrupted them.

"I've heard about what happened in South Vietnam some time ago, but it's not certain that it was these few Chinese people who did it, it might just have some connection with that group, we can't just suspect the Chinese special forces without conclusive evidence."

"You guys better continue your investigation, it's best to find out the traces left by Lin Ah Ping quickly, if you can't find it, I'll have to report this time to the war department and all of us will have to be disciplined!"

The person in charge said with some annoyance as he slapped his hand on top of the table.

This was supposed to be a perfect opportunity. As long as the Special Forces Competition could be held unharmed, he would be able to get some merits, and he would be able to promote his rank after the turn of the year. But now that something like this had happened, there was no need to think about the promotion, and he might even be demoted.

"Understood. Komura-san!" Several special forces soldiers nodded their heads together at him in agreement.

"Hurry up and investigate, otherwise if the War Ministry doesn't find trouble with you, I will find trouble with you too, to have a special soldier from South Vietnam strangely disappear at a competition held by our Japanese country, if this gets out, it will be too humiliating!" The chief shook his head and sighed, he hadn't even thought that such a thing would happen.

The crowd didn't say anything and immediately left towards the outside.

In a flash two days had passed, Chen Ge's trio stayed inside the room almost all the time except for eating, the person in charge had come three or four times, but each time Bai Xiaofei said he didn't know anything, there was nothing he could do, he could only return without any success.

On the third day, all the mercenaries who came to participate in the competition received a message from the Japanese War Department, informing them that the competition venue had been transferred to another place, and that the special forces from each country would find their own accommodation and be reimbursed by the Japanese War Department.

Obviously, with neither Lin Ah Ping nor any clues found, the person in charge had no choice but to inform the Japanese War Ministry of this situation.

And the Japanese War Department could only make this decision in order to prevent something like this from happening again.
